The Deogarh Palace is located on top of a hill at a height of 2100 ft above sea level, has a commanding view of the entire region of Deogarh, dotted with lakes. Its domes, turrets, jharokhas and majestic gateways mark this 17th century palace. The Deogarh Mahal was built by Rawat Dwarka Dasji as is private residence, but it soon became a village hub. On one hand, if the gates of the Deogarh Mahal were always open for the hapless villagers, in the other they were open for festivities.
