Day 01 : Arrive Cochin

Day 02 : Cochin
Morning sightseeing tour.
Cochin, Kerala’s commercial centre, it has a fine natural harbour. Cochin(Kochi) gateway for Kerala is famous for Mattanchery Palace, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolghatty Island, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cruising on the back-waters provides glimpses of the rural life, fine view of the harbour and three islands.
Afternoon at leisure.
Day 03 : Cochin-Alleppey drive, 56 km
Check in on Houseboat and cruise through Punnamada Lake - visit the Chavara Bhavan, old wooden house - enjoy the panoramic views of paddy fields, narrow canals and coconut lagoons -visit 400 year old Champakulam Church - view the 110 feet long snake boat.
Night stay on Houseboat in the middle of the Lake .
Day 04 : Thotapally-Varkala drive
After breakfast, cruise very narrow canals, visit the ancient Buddhist image of Karumadikuttan, only Buddhist temple in Kerala. Check out at Thottappally.
Drive to Varkala, check-in at the resort.

Day 05 : Varkala
Visit Quilon (Kollam)
To the north of Trivandrum, comes the district of Kollam. Considered as the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala, the district takes the credit for being the hub of the country’s cashew trading and processing industry. The district is a leading center for fishing in Kerala and is home to the largest fresh water lake in Kerala – Sasthamcottah.
Kollam, the erstwhile Desinganadu, had a sustained commercial reputation from the days of the Phoenicians and the Romans. Fed by the Chinese trade, it was regarded by Ibn Batuta, as one of the five chief ports, which he had seen in the course of his travels during a period of twenty four years, in the 14th Century. The rulers of Kollam (Desinganadu) and China, exchanged embassies and there was a flourishing Chinese settlement at Kollam. Merchant Sulaiman of Siraf in Persia (9th Century) found Kollam to be the only port in India, touched by the huge Chinese junks, on his way from Canton to Persian Gulf. Marco Polo, the great Venician traveller, who was in Chinese Service under Kublahan in 1275, visited Kollam and other towns on the west coast, in his capacity as a Chinese mandarin.
Day 06 : Varkala-Kovalam, 80 km
After breakfast, drive to Kovalam, check-in at the beach resort.

Day 07 : Kovalam
Day trip to Kanya Kumari.
The southernmost end of Tamil Nadu, the land’s end of India or the point where the three seas meet – the Bay of Bengal, The Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. Visit the Kumariamman temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Kanyakumari(Parvati) who stands guard over the country. The temple is built at the spot where the goddess is believed to have waited for her consort Lord Siva. Gandhi Memorial, constructed at the spot where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were kept for public view in an urn before a portion was immersed into the three seas. Vivekanand Memorial built on the Vivekananda Rock where the great Philosopher guide Swami Vivekananda went into meditation that transformed him into one of the most charismatic spiritual leader of this era. Witness the spectacular sun-set view at the confluence of three oceans.
