Fort Heritage was originally a Dutch palace built in the 17th century. A Syrian Christian family, who has owned it since 1945, converted the property into a hotel. The Kerala Government has certified it as a heritage property and the restoration that has been carried out on the laterite, limestone, wood-and-tiles building has retained as much of the original as possible. Fort Heritage perfectly blends old-world elegance and modern comforts.
